      Sorry, I am not allowed to give out the exam papers or the solutions. There are similar questions on a worksheet found under the Physics section of “Year 10 Worksheets”

    I’ve been doing your Chemistry “Final Test Revision” papers, and I must say I’ve gotten a little rusty on the “mole -> molar mass -> mass” bit of Year 10 chem… Thanks for the prac papers, and helping me realize that I’ve got some problems which need fixing o.O Would you be so kind as to help me with question 2 of the Final Test Revision 2, for example? Kinda worried about this :/ Thanks

      Biology, chemistry and physics.

      We have done less than four weeks on each topic. Anything could be put in (except gravity problems in physics)

      I said acceleration due to gravity is not in it.

      That means no problems involving falling objects. Objects like cars and trains which accelerate horizontally will be included.

    With vectors do we have to use the harpoon arrow thing? or is it ok if we don’t use it?
    Also when an object uses ‘uniform retardation’, does that mean it is decelerating?
    And in the exam/test, will there be gravitational acceleration? and if there is could we round it up to 10 instead of 9.8 to make it easier?

      While there will be no marks removed for missing the harpoon arrow it is good practice to be using it, particularly if you are heading towards Physics in year 11.

      Uniform retardation is the same as uniform deceleration, yes.

      The year 10 teachers have decided to remove acceleration due to gravity out of the test. However, you will still need to be able to use the formula s= ut+ 1/2at^2

      We have several formulas with time in it.

      v= u + at
      s = ut + 1/2at^2 (^2 means squared)

      If you need to find time you must rearrange one of these formulas using algebra techniques.

      Do not concern yourself with set 7 as it is more advanced than is required. Did I say to do it? I realised later that all the problems were actually in 2 dimensions when we only care about 1 dimension in year 10.

      7c is zero because if the athlete completes a lap his displacement is 0 (back at the start). velocity = displacement/time =0/440 = 0.

      Most of the time yes. Think of adding a powder (metal hydroxide) into a beaker of acid. The metal hydroxide starts as a solid.
